When viewing a item, select or tab into the image viewer and use the following controls to manipulate the image.


  • Move up: w or [up arrow]
  • Move down: s or [down arrow]
  • Move left: a or [left arrow]
  • Move right: d or [right arrow]
  • Return to centre: 0
  • Zoom in: = or [shift] + w or [shift] + [up arrow]
  • Zoom out: - or [shift] + s or [shift] + [down arrow]
  • Rotate clockwise: r
  • Rotate counterclockwise: R
  • Flip horizontally: f

    Alternate College Theater (ACT) Records

    As the only fully student-run theater group on campus, the Alternate College Theater (ACT) offers students the opportunity to direct, act, design, work backstage, manage publicity, or participate in any other aspect of theatrical production. This collection documents the organization's productions from its founding to the present day."

    Bishop James A. Healy Papers

    This collection contains primary and secondary source materials created by and pertaining to Bishop James Augustine Healy including his diary from his final year at the College and the speech he gave as valedictorian of the College's first graduating class.

    Black Student Union Records

    The Black Student Union was founded in 1968 and builds community through programs that highlight Black history, culture, and student life. These records document the organization’s history and include constitutions, publications, and event materials, including anniversary celebrations.

    Campus Art Records

    These records document campus artwork and include correspondence, newspaper clippings, inventories, and artwork depicting the Holy Cross campus.

    Classics Department Records

    The Classics Department Records document the department’s history and include correspondence, course information, press releases, reports, and programming files.

    Coeducation Anniversary Events

    These records contain materials related to events celebrating the anniversaries of coeducation. Items include programs, invitations, posters, and planning documents.

    Commencement Records

    The College of the Holy Cross held its first Commencement in 1849, and this collection contains programs, speeches, recordings, videos, and photographs documenting Commencement ceremonies and related events.

    Cross and Scroll Society Records

    Founded circa 1933, the Cross and Scroll Society organized an annual lecture series for the Holy Cross community. These records document the history of the organization through constitutions, membership lists, event schedules, promotional materials, and correspondence.

    Department of Theatre and Dance Records

    The Department of Theatre and Dance Records documents the department’s history and includes production records, videos, and photographs.

    Early History Collection

    This collection contains records documenting the College’s early years, from its founding in 1843 through the late nineteenth century.

    Football Team Records

    This collection contains records pertaining to the Holy Cross football team, including game programs, schedules, media guides, newsprint, press releases, statistics, ticket stubs, photographs, and game notes.

    Holy Cross Image and Photographs Collection

    This collection is an artificially constructed assemblage of visual materials, primarily photographs, assigned to this collection due to their visual content. The earliest images date to the mid 19th century with the bulk dating to the 20th century. While a variety of formats are represented, the majority are black-and-white photographs. 

    Holy Cross Sheet Music Collection

    This collection features the musical arrangements and lyrics of songs associated with the College of the Holy Cross.

    Men's Basketball Team Records

    This collection contains records pertaining to the Holy Cross men's basketball team, including media guides, press releases, game programs, schedules, statistics, player information, game notes, and newsprints from the early 20th century to present.

    Music Department Records

    The Music Department Records document the department’s history from 1843 to the present and include concert programs and posters, event calendars, correspondence, press releases, newsprint, and teaching files.

    Purple Key Society Records

    These records document the activities of the Purple Key Society through event materials, correspondence, newsprint, and posters.

    Rev. Patrick F. Healy, S.J. Papers

    This collection contains primary and secondary source materials created by and pertaining to Rev. Patrick F. Healy, S.J.

    Rev. Thomas F. Mulledy, S.J. Papers

    Thomas F. Mulledy, S.J., served as the first president of Holy Cross from 1843 to 1845. This collection contains materials relating to his presidency and the College’s earliest years.

    Revolutionary Students' Union Records

    These records document the history of the Revolutionary Students’ Union (RSU) through its publications, newsprint, and promotional materials.

    Sesquicentennial Records

    The College celebrated its sesquicentennial, marking its 150th anniversary, in 1993. These records document this milestone and include press releases, programs, posters, invitations, newsprint, and ephemera.

    Sodality of Our Lady Student Organization Records

    This record group contains materials created by and relating to the Holy Cross student chapter of the Sodality of Our Lady.

    WCHC Student Radio Station Records

    Established in 1948, WCHC is Holy Cross’s student-operated radio station and club. Its records trace the organization’s history through press releases, transcripts, promotional materials, correspondence, and newspaper clippings.
